Hello Everyone,
I am going to ask some questions about my Wharenui:)
Had you heard about Te Whare Tapa Wha before? I have only heard of it once.
What are the 4 dimensions that make up the where? Taha Whanau/Whenua/Taha Tinana/Taha Wairua
Why do you think the model looks like a Wharenui(House)? I think it looks like a house so we can honor our ancestors who used to live there before us.
Why do we need to take care of our well-being? So we can be healthy and have a great life in the future.

Hellooo!
How are you guys going?
So for a while, I and my reading group have been learning about Women's Suffrage and I made a timeline for everything that Kate Sheppard did for New Zealand Women
Here is my timeline
Hello Everyone!
What year did the Maori men get the vote?1860's
Why did most people think women should not vote? I think it's because men used to think that women could barely do anything all they could do was cooking, cleaning and looking after the children at home. So they thought they could only let men do the politics and elections and protests.
What does the phrase drinking their wages mean? It means drinking alcohol and drugs and getting rid of their stress with drinking alcohol
How did the WCTU help the poor? It was able for women to get jobs and to finally get a house for their families
What was the main form of Protest that Women used to change the law? Starting a Petition for Women and Men to sign to let women to be able to vote.
Why is Kate Sheppard on the NZ 10$ note? She is New Zealand's pride in being she was the first woman to give the country the will for Women to vote in 1893

Hello Everyone!
Hello Everyone!
So today we have been learning with our Cybersmart again and I and my class did this where we search for some things on Google and then we used a tool to help us search better for images and we did an image little research and here is my all about me!
So I also have a question I will be answering
Why is it important to use Google Images with permission only? So why I think it is important is because well if you grab an image and you basically copyrighted it, if you take images that aren't allowed for permission you might need to pay for that image maybe the person that made it might put it on the internet for money or it could lead to a virus or a hacker could get into your Chromebook and steal your information and to where you live.

Hello Everyone! How are you?
Why do you think Leo wanted a mohawk hairstyle for his first day at Intermediate? I think that Leo wanted that haircut because he thought it was really cool and he wanted a fresh new start maybe wanted to stand out in his new school because wasn't popular nor cool in his last school.
How did the other kids react? They weren't being very nice about what they were saying to Leo they said that he didn't look very cool and his friends weren't saying or being very nice to him about his new hairstyle.
Why did they react that way? Maybe because they liked his normal hairstyle or they just didn't like the sight of it or just that they wanted the same haircut but couldn't afford one.
How did Matua Glen react to Leo's Mohawk? He thought about Leos's hair when he went to talk to him when the bell rang and then Matua Glen gave Leo 2 websites to start reading one about a person with a Mohawk and one with Protests with people who wore Mohawks.
What were some examples from the website from Matua Glen who had the Mohawk hairstyle in history? That others before him had Mohawks stood proud with their cool haircut and didn't care about what others cared.
Besides the hairstyle, How could someone protest through their appearance? It could be their Gender for those LGBTQ+ people Black people and white people short or tall people.

Hi Everyone,
So I and my class have been working on Cybersmart for the last few days and we started on work we can use on our Chromebooks and I just wanted to share my touchpad
Hello Everyone,
So I started on this activity and I have to finish it off and it's about Protests and Strikes so here's my work
1.What is the name of the law that ensures we have a right to Protest in Nz? The Humans Act Right 1993
2.When did the Soldiers invade Parihaka? 5 November 1881
3.How many Women signed the Women's Suffrage Petition? 31,872
4.What is New Zealand's most famous Hikoi? In 1975 Māori land marched the length of the North Island led by Dame Whina Cooper.
What do these words mean from Page 10 and 11
-Suffrage- Suffrage means an urge to say something involving voting
-Union-Coming together in one circle.
-Watersider-A person who works on a wharf
Choose one of the Protests from the article and summarise it in your own words. Ask who what when where and how? I chose the Woman's suffrage and Kate Sheppard tried to protest against women voting in 1893 in New Zealand and she kept on Protesting and now to this day all women can vote
When you read this article, what does it remind you of? It reminds me that women aren't different from men there all the same (White, Black, Skinny, Fat, Tall, or short there all still the same.
Have you ever seen or been involved in a Protest? No, I have never been in a Protest and I see a lot of Protests on the news.

Hello Everyone!
How's it going? One of the things that happened was the woman suffrage and the Nurses and Doctors, Teachers and Farmers went on Strike and Protested against how much they were getting paid. Teachers give kids education and teach them different knowledge each day and the kids end up going off in life getting more jobs and paying taxes and then there's the Nurses and Doctors they save lives every day and help others and then there's the Farmer they grow the food which comes fresh and since the floods happened all their crops were destroyed and they went on Strike and protest saying 'NO FARMERS NO FOOD!' they work day and night to give food to everyone.

Hi Everyone,
It is the second to last day of term in Music's class I have enjoyed listening to Orchestras and the 3 things I have learnt is that The Big Korea Drum is the biggest drum in the world and my favourite music is Rock and my favourite song is probably Now or Never because I like how it has a lot of Guitars and the drums go really good with the Beat and Rythm.
Hello Everyone,
For a whole week, we have been learning about an OREO statement so here is my set of paragraphs
I think that some want to be able to use phones in Yr 7-9. It's not really fair if we can't use them, because some Yr 7-9’s want to be able to use their phones at intervals and lunches to play games. For example, a Year 8 wants to use his phone during lunch to text his mom to tell her his game is today. Some Year 7, 8, and 9 want to be able to use their phones in intervals and lunches. It would be really fun if we could use our phones any time and if we use our phones more we could maybe be relaxed at lunch if something has happened and we can just focus on our work if we could just listen to music when we are in class. I think we should be able to use our phones during school at intervals and on lunches. Thank you for reading my blog post. Please leave me some feedback
Hello Everyone,
Hello Everyone,
We have been learning about rock and my teacher has informed us to make a blog about it and ask some questions so here they are
What is Genre? Is a conventional category that does identify a set of music that belongs to a shared tradition and or a set of conventions.
What are the Genres we have learned this week? Rock
Explain what your favorite genre is and why? Rock because I like how you can express your emotions out by banging on drums or strumming a guitar.
Share a song from this Genre. I like Now or Never from Julie and the Phantoms its a cool song with only drums and guitars and a bass.

Hey Everyone,
So last week we started working on what orchestras and we need to figure out what an orchestra is so basically what an orchestra is a bunch of stringed and woodwind instruments such as Violins and cellos flutes and trombones and tubas are put together with a conductor to be in a big group having to wave a little stick around to help the other performers concentrate and keep the Beat and Rhythm, I do have some questions to show and answer
How do they seat instruments? Strings go in the first seating and after on the second seating is woodwind and then brass.
What instruments are included? Violin, Cello, Flute, Harp, Viola,
Who is the most important member of the orchestra? Violin
What is the biggest group of instruments? Tuba and other Woodwind instruments
Do we have any orchestras? Up in Auckland, we have an Orchestra called the Auckland Philharmonia and it serves the country's largest most vibrant city with a comprehensive program of concerts and education and outreach activities

Hello Everyone,
We are back with more of our do now blog posts so, I agree that it is important that Year 7-8 do sport because some Year 7-8's need to do sport because when they head to Year 9 it helps get them sorted and because not much Year 7-8's have P.E in a week so they need some exercise if some don't do club sports so say if you go to a school and you don't get P.E at all you need a little exercise well I believe that all children in schools should do some sport.

Hello Everyone,
The real question is: Is Icecream better than Cake? I think no Icecream is not better than Cake is much much better because it is really yum in my opinion Icecream isn't better because Icecream can make your brain freeze up and it can melt in the sun but its also good on a good hot sunny day but Cake is the one I like the most because it doesn't make my brain freeze and it's really yum.

Good Morning Everyone
Today we started working on different work and were doing Persuade Writing and now we have to make a blog post on if Cats are better than dogs.. Do you agree or disagree? I disagree I think dogs are better than cats because dogs can protect you when there is a robber or a bad person and they keep you company and they keep you exercising when you need to walk them.

Hello Everyone,
So today we have to make a blog post about reflection on what we did last week
Introduce what you were learning and working on this week in Te Ao Whanui. So this week in Te Ao Whanui me and my group were learning about information about Bungee Jumping
Reflect on a time you know you read the instructions carefully and how you know. I was reading the book with Miss Birtch and my reading group and we were asking questions after.
Reflect on a time when you completed your work to your personal best this week. I completed my Cars blog post on the questions.
Reflect on a time when you were a self-manager. When I was working on my own and I finished my blog post instead of talking to friends
Conclude your post with a final comment or question to your reader
Can you be able to self-manage?

Hello Everyone,
In my class, for over 3 weeks we have been learning about different types of instruments and these we used recorders and ukeleles and we have to make a blog post about them and these are the questions
What is a String instrument? A String instrument is a base of string that is used to vibrate a set of sounds to be used for music.
What are the parts of a ukulele? A Ukulele has 4 strings and is a little bit tiny from a guitar
How do you play a string instrument? When it comes to String instruments it is mainly meant for using hands or for exactly a guitar you can use your hands or a guitar pick and a ukulele
Share one thing that you learned this week? I learned that ukuleles have 4 strings and I learned about recorders that you need to breathe in a recorder really slowly

Hello Everyone,
So in my class, we have been learning about intentions and we have to choose an invention back in the day and make a 100-word challenge about them and we have to write about them and why we can live without them
and here is my 100-word challenge
I don't think I can live without a Phonograph because it was the first world recorder I like to use recordings to help me when I'm going through a certain situation that I can't talk to anyone about the current situation that is happening and I can listen to the recording I did in 5 years or more and see how well I have changed since then and reflect on how much I fixed myself and I think that a Phonograph can help others that have disorders or sickness and they wanna leave a note for there families to read
Hello everyone,
