 Hello Everyone,

Summer Learning Journey(SLJ) is a free digital literacy (Blogging) So basically, I'm meaning is where kids use devices to blog about once or twice or more in a week and I'm just doing it because I enjoy speaking to those people on my blog that read most of my post and I'm also for not posting often I will be posting often now and I really enjoy Summer Learning Journey I think I do it every year and this year is no different from the other years.

Novel Study Review

 Hi Everyone,

So since yesterday, we had to do a book review and answer some questions about the book, my book is Boy by Roald Dahl, and here are the questions

1.The title and the author of your book. Boy - Roald Dahl

2.Why you selected the novel? I selected the novel because I am a big fan of Roald Dahl and I thought that it would be best if I read a book from him because I read all of his other books and they're pretty interesting so I thought reading Boy would be good.

3.What did you think about it overall? I think that Boy was a very interesting book I really enjoyed reading about his childhood and everything that had happened to him in his life.

4.What was your favorite part? I liked the part where Roald Dahl put a dead mouse in the loli jar it was a funny part

5.Who were the characters? Roald Dahl, his family, his friends, his school.

6.Would recommend this book and who do you think would enjoy it? I think my little sister Jade would enjoy Boy because I know she loves reading books.

What Is Child Poverty

For the last few weeks in my Wananga group, we have been blogging about a lot of things and I decided to blog about "What is child poverty?" and I'm going to tell you what it means so then some of you's that don't know can know now I figured out what Child Poverty is by doing some research

Child Poverty means where they don't have proper essential like food a house and they don't have things like everyone else they don't have that.

KidsCan Fun Run

Hi Everyone,

So a few weeks ago Hornby High School did a Fun Run to raise money for KidsCan so all the years at our school had done it from the Juniors to the Seniors I was in the Yr 7-8 girls group we went after the Yr 7-8 boys I ran and I also got dyed with a lot of colors it was really fun to do but I didn't get wet I don't like water or getting wet because then I have to sit down on the grass and wait for the rest of the school to finish and I went through the bouncy castle my buddy was a girl I can't remember her name so sorry but then I got dyed again and then I got a can that tasted AWESOME.

Why LGBTQ+ people should be included. Speech

 Hi Everyone,

throughout the past 3-4 weeks in hurumanu 4, we have been working on speeches and I want to share my speech with you so please I hope it is quite interesting and I really hope that will affect our future and here it is...............

Hello everyone I’m Harmony and I’m going to tell you why Lgbtq+ people should be included with every one. Don’t you ever think about if  Lgbtq+ was included that some of them wouldn’t be so scared to come out to everyone else?
 
I think that we should include the Lgbtq+ community with all of us because it also makes it fair. I think that some people may not like the LGBTQ people and may bully or hurt them more than any others just because of how they gender identify. 
I think that if we can get more LGBTQ people to interact with others we could maybe get some people to like the LGBTQ people because then no one feels left out some of the time. 
I think that also if we get some Lgbtq+ people to become friends with other people outside of their circle it would make our community more friendly.

Gymnastics - Term 4

Hi Everyone,

For the last set of weeks, we have been doing gymnastics and I wanna show you some of them and what they mean and I will also show you what I learned from what I had done in gymnastics it was really fun I wanna do it again and I am but it's funnier when you're with someone to do it because if you do it alone and you get hurt no one is around to help.

Floor / Mat

Mini Trampoline

so the first one is a trampoline where you jump and do a flip.

The beam is a long set of wood or any other material and you stand on it and you walk across it and do some tricks on it.

The Parallel Bars are where two sets of bars are next to you and your swing on them and hold on to them and do front flips.

The Bar is a bar that hangs in front of you and your swing on it and you spin up and down on it.

The Floor / Mat is a floor with a mat and you do handstands, headstands, cartwheels, and many more

The Mini Trampoline is where you run up jump and then you try and do a flip when you land on a mat.

I learned that if you try your hardest and try to do the activity it makes it more fun
